Well, Alabama didn't make it to the National Championship game this year (maybe we are a little spoiled) so Nick and I headed to NOLA to watch the boys play. We left New Year's day being sure to stop for lunch for some Cajun grub before we got to the hotel. We ended up stopping at "Crazy Bout Crawfish Cajun Café". Hello, awesomeness. Seriously the food is to die for. MUST GO! Nick and I shared the shrimp platter and each got a bloody mary. We got back on the road and headed to our final destination. We stayed at a really neat hotel that was in the prime location. We were able to walk to Bourbon Street and to the Mercedes Benz Stadium. Wednesday night we went to the bar Walk Ons. So much fun. The booths by the bar had beer on tap that you served yourself, really neat. Thursday we ordered breakfast in the room and died when we saw the bill, totally ridiculous. The food was great don't get me wrong. The buffet downstairs was only 19 bucks though, lesson learned. We put on our Bama gear and headed out for the day. We bar hopped all day on Bourbon singing Sweet Home Alabama and having drinks-those drinks got the best of me. I won't go in to much detail (it's that embarrassing) but I was asleep by 7:45, no bueno. Nick was able to make it to the game, alone. Bama ended up losing 45-31, Oklahoma, which ended Nick's winning streak. This was his first game to attend that Bama lost. Nick came back to the hotel right after the game beings that they lost, he had too much too drink and I was sound asleep. The ride home was no fun; we both felt like crap and were sad about the game.
