The morning of his birthday he little man woke up to a find a party going on in his room! We decorated his room with lots and lots of balloons after he went to sleep. Maddox LOVED this. We got Maddox lots of Avenger related gifts and a Y bike; this bike is supposed to help the child learn to balance. Maddox still rides this bike all the time; I definitely reccomend getting your child one of these.
Avengers was the party theme this year. Maddox has everything Avengers related possible. Maddox wanted his birthday at the park this year; he loves DoornBos Park in Nederland. There is a small pond at this park with lots of hungry ducks. I brought a bag of popcorn so the kids could feed the ducks. Having an Avengers cake with Hulk's hand punching through the cake was a must have for Madman. This cake was so embarrassing I hated to even put it out; I thought it looked awful and felt like I could have done a better job myself (I am no baker). For party favors I bought plastic Avengers cups and filled them with tissue paper. I then placed gum, candy and a cookie in each cup. I thought the cookies were adorable. A bakery here in Port Neches made these, absolute perfection! We served pizza and drinks since we had the party at lunch time. Maddox really enjoyed the freedom of this party, after opening his gifts he was able to run wild with his friends and family enjoying the playground. This was a very simple birthday party, no stress at all It was such a windy day so the decor I planned to hang around the pavilion didn't work out.
