Going to visit Nana Banana in TN is always such a treat. TN is such a beauty to visit and we have so many special people we love to visit while we are there. We were able to have Thanksgiving dinner with Nick's family while we were there. Since Nick's mom moved to Texas this October (2012) we stayed at Nana's house while in Spring City. Maddox was able to play with his beautiful cousins while Nick and I were able to just enjoy relaxing and catching up with the family. Beth is such a sweet lady and has a special place in my heart; I always beg for her to move to Texas, hopefully one day I can convince her. Beth has 2 girls and one boy; these children are seriously the sweetest little children you will ever meet. It is so warming to sit back and watch the kids interact and learn about each other and their families. Nana has a beautiful yard with lots of fallen leaves that Maddox and I had a ball in. We don't get these colorful leaves here in Texas so its something I look forward to experiencing each time we visit them in the fall. After spending a few days with Nana and the family we took off to Nashville. While in TN we made sure to take some family pics with an amazing photographer, Rue Rue Photography, you can check them out here.
We took Maddox to Gaylord and were completely in Heaven once we got there, The hotel itself is amazing and was so festive with all of the Christmas décor; they had a "Shrek the Halls" event going on, AMAZING. Our favorite parts was the 9 degree Iceland we toured. We were given parkas to wear and enjoyed the scenery. Everything we saw was made out of ice and wasn't missing one little detail, pretty awesome. There was a 10ft slide and a 20ft slide both made out of ice; they were so fast and fun. Madman was a little bit under the weather so I don't think he got to take it all in, but he did totally enjoy looking at everything. We couldn't leave all of this excitement behind with out bringing something home as a keepsake. We got a picture of us together in the ice sculpture and Madman picked out a stuffed Shrek and Donkey to take home.
